Research Interests
Dr Alexander McWilliam completed his PhD with the Institute for Psychology of Elite Performance (IPEP) at Bangor University. He specialised in public speaking anxiety and the role improvisation can have on developing self-efficacy and reducing the negative effects of anxiety on performance.

Presentations & Workshops
Alex has shared his research with audience members at conferences across the globe. He has presented and run workshops at ASSP, FEPSAC, ENYSPP, European Congress of Psychology, ICSHA, and WCFEDUCATION.
In 2024 Alex was awarded 1st place in the Young Practitioner Award at FEPSAC 2024, won Best Oral Presentation at the 19th ENYSSP conference in Tallinn, and received a conference abstract award at AASP's 39th Annual Conference.
