ABOUT
Alexander McWilliam is an award winning actor, improviser, and coach based in the UK. He has over 15 years of industry experience and has worked on various film, theatre, TV, and commercial projects. Alongside acting he offers 1-2-1 and group coaching in LAMDA, audition preparation, improvisation, and presentation skills.
ACTOR
Since graduating GSA, Alex has worked on a wide range of projects, from small-scale theatre productions to major film and television roles. Whether he's working on a commercial shoot for a major brand like HSBC or Costa Coffee, or exploring a complex character in a play, he's always pushing himself to bring the best work to the table.
IMPROVISER
Alex has honed his improvisational skills in everything from short-form games to long-form narratives. In 2013 he founded Mad Monkey Improv and is a regular performer with The McClanes, What's the Game Improv and The Free Radicals. He brings his energy and humour to every show he performs in, ensuring that the audience has an unforgettable experience.
COACH
Alex has coached over 1,000 students through drama school auditions, LAMDA exams, and Trinity assessments. He specialises in improvisation, public speaking, audition preparation, and performing under pressure. In 2020 he gained an MSc in Psychology and he is currently working through the final stages of his PhD specialising in public speaking anxiety.
